I love prom photography photoshoots, they are so much fun!
Prom season is nearly upon us and judging by the calls I have been receiving it looks like they are back on this year. This takes me back to Lucia’s prom which I photographed nearly 2 years ago when proms were last on.
Lucia’s mum asked me to capture her beautiful daughter before she was whisked off to spend the evening with all her final year school friends.
It was a beautiful summers evening and Lucia had had a lovely day having her hair, make-up and nails professionally done.
Her dress was stunning, but the surprise of the evening was her trainers underneath. I thought yes, you’re my kind of girl!
She really reminded me of Lily Allen and her funky Glasto outfit. Beautiful and elegant but needed trainers to dance the night away…
Lucia’s family and friends came to see her all dressed up and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
After what has been an extremely difficult and heartbreaking year, now more than ever it’s important for these final year school children to get dressed up and finish their year off with a bang! Their studying, home lives, mental health and social lives have all been affected just as much as ours.
This special day deserves special treatment.
Photographs capture the moment which can be treasured forever. Lucia’s mum had her images printed off which made gorgeous Mother’s Day presents for her nonna (grandma).

You can do what Lucia did and have photos on the day of the prom at a pre-agreed place. Or, have the photoshoot on a different day and a few photos on the day. Whatever you would like, I can make it work beautifully for you.
