Prom Photography – Capturing Precious Moments

It is true that this summer’s weather has been a bit rubbish…

I think we’ve had a couple of weeks of really warm weather and this particular prom photoshoot happened to be on the hottest day of that 2 weeks!
 It was a sweltering 31 degrees when I pulled up to the scenic field in Old Bedhampton that my prom girl Sky had chosen.
 I was a sweaty mess in my shorts and t-shirt, Sky on the other hand with her dress and long hair down looked as cool as they come throughout the whole thing! 
Not a bit of melted makeup in sight. Well done Sky.



Most of my prom photoshoots aren’t done on the day of the prom as there are a lot of preparations on this day, hair, nails, makeup, meeting up with friends and general pampering going on.

 This photoshoot was no exception. Sky was able to relax knowing she didn’t have to rush off to her prom and we were able to take our time and capture the right look.

Sky and her mum Shelly wanted a creative look which I think we really did achieve.

There was a definite look of Lily Allen/album cover on one image with her gorgeous dress and espadrilles. The sepia and black and whites were my favourite.

After the shoot had happened with her sister Star playing in the background we walked over to the gorgeous church where Sky’s mum and dad were married 13 years ago. We wandered around the church gardens and found a gorgeous ancient yew tree that the shot of the day was created under.

You really did remind me of Kimberly from Girls Aloud Sky.

 Finally, we went to the entrance where Sky’s parents were married and finished the shoot there.

It was a truly lovely afternoon which Sky thoroughly enjoyed.

The best part of my job is delivering the images, prints and slideshow in a beautiful gift box.

Sky has now had her prom and her mum has given me permission to release her photos.
