I am a Hampshire based real estate photographer who works all over the UK.
Taking elegant photographs of your homes, gardens and commercial properties, I help owners showcase their properties through photographs to sell, rent, Airbnb or home exchange.
Some homeowners just want to have beautiful memories all captured digitally which they can keep forever in one of my gorgeous handmade albums.
My latest project is documenting the renovation of a 300-year-old listed building. I can’t wait to tell you all about this when it’s complete!
Many clients I have met have had some difficulties selling or renting their properties. The images you use are usually the culprit, they are your shop window into your home. Alongside the kitchen and living space, a garden is a real plus point when selling or renting your home.
Nice gardens, especially in London and cities where green space is at a premium, can really add value to your home.
Smartphones have made everyone a photographer…
I know the temptations to save money by taking photos yourself on a smartphone. Most smartphones today have a great camera, so who will know the difference?
The reality is that potential buyers or those wishing to holiday, or rent will know the difference. A professional real estate photographer will capture the property in a way that a smartphone or an amateur just can’t.
There is a great misunderstanding of what a professional camera can do today. The amount of detail that can be brought to life with the correct lens, arrangement and lighting is insane.
Your photographer will tell a story based on your brief and provide you with a great set of images that can take your property or business from below par to fantastic.
A good friend and I took a photo a couple of years ago of the Queen Elizabeth ship as she left Portsmouth. We were stood at the same viewpoint. I used my camera, and he used his smartphone. My friend said the images were not comparable.
His image was a spec on the horizon, my image showed every detail. The tugboat lines pulling it, the sailors stood on the deck and intricate details of the helicopters and boats on board.
Editing the final shots is a completely different and vital skill too which your photographer will call upon before handing the images over to you.
When your potential clients look at your homes’ listing, the first thing they look at are the images. All depending on how the images look they may then go on to read the text. Your pictures will determine whether your reader decides to read on or not!
If you are a business, it can give the viewer an idea of how your business runs or what the rest of your website may look like.
You want your photos to stand out and be different to anyone else’s out there.
Especially today where we expect to have instant WIFI and if something isn’t quick enough or pretty enough we just scroll through if something doesn’t catch our eye.
Nine out of ten 9 buyers start their buying process on the internet. Homes with strong attractive images typically sell at higher prices too. Professional photos can bring you an extra £1k – £115K depending on the size of your property. Images can also help break up your text and bring variety to your advert.
This is one of the most common and understandable reasons why many people and business owners don’t hire professional photographers. Quite often this comes from a place of not understanding the cost versus value ratio.
Marketing is an important factor to build into your business. If you have the best product or business in the industry people won’t know about it unless you showcase it to its best.
Social media is even bigger than ever and with sites like Instagram and Pinterest with hundreds of millions of user’s, images are even more important than ever.
Not having great images could mean clients skipping over your business or not driving traffic to your site, therefore, costing your business more than a professional photographer would cost in the first place.
If we consider the largest companies in the world almost all of them use high-quality professional images to showcase and display their products. They see the value in spending large parts of their budget on marketing.
This would not be the case if professional images were not important to them. Even budget burgers like McDonald’s have great images for the consumer.
I have been fortunate enough to photograph some interesting properties from Victorian houses, listed buildings, wine bars to homes being sold on the open market.

Today I would like to show you some of my garden images.
In light of the recent pandemic now more than ever well-presented outside spaces are an even more important consideration.
I can take all the stress out of taking the images, arranging rooms and all your editing concerns. As well as providing all the images in high resolution on a USB Key.
This what a recent client of mine had to say:
Creative and open to ideas I have used Jayne Louise’s services to capture some of our most precious family moments. This has been very special considering I have five children and two beautiful dogs. Jayne has also been a great asset to my garden business. I constantly need professional images of my finished projects to use for marketing purposes. I admire how versatile and patient she is at perfecting her subject matter. Jayne is very creative and open to any ideas. She was a great find, and I would recommend her to anyone.
